Testing instruments show whether a substrate is ready before you install or coat, and confirm the result afterwards. The main checks are moisture in concrete, screed and timber, air temperature and humidity, surface temperature, concrete hardness and floor gloss. Buyers choose between pin and pinless moisture meters, and between single meters and complete inspection kits. Brands include Tramex, Caisson, HTC and RIDGID.
